Boone County WVU Alumni & Friends Chapter *

Since 1986, our chapter has been a proud extension of the Mountaineer spirit right here in Boone County. Whether you’re a graduate, student, parent, or lifelong WVU fan, this is your local home for connection, celebration, and community impact. We host events that bring people together, raise funds for meaningful scholarships, and champion the success of Boone County students at West Virginia University and its affiliated institutions.

You don’t have to be an alum to get involved—just bring your Mountaineer pride and a heart for Boone County. Join us in supporting the next generation, honoring our traditions, and keeping the gold and blue strong.

“Our group socializes, networks, and hosts game-watching events and bus trips, like most other WVU alumni chapters…But our focus is mainly on the students and providing opportunities for them to get what we all were lucky enough to find with an education from West Virginia University.”
